This image was inspired by the work of Damien Hirst – the prolific English artist who rose to fame as one of the ‘Young British Artists’ in the 1990s. He is most famous for his piece featuring a shark submerged in formaldehyde and another entitled ‘Mother and Child Divided’ which features a bisected, pickled cow and calf, that he donated to the Tate Gallery in 2007.
